Hinguere Rules
A deep strategy game of building territory, causing dips to fall, and triggering dramatic chain reactions.
Quick Start
1 Goal
Win by causing their Kadip to fall, freezing them with no legal move, or letting their clock expire.
2 Core Action
Take turns placing dips. A placed dip creates green expansion zones (your future placements) and red block zones (attacking dips).
3 Big Twist
Causing dips to fall can trigger a cascade that causes a whole support chain to fall — even the Kadip.
Your Arsenal: The Five Dips
Every dip pattern gives green expansion zones and red block zones. Rotate (N/E/S/W) before placing to reshape zones.
Place anywhere to begin. Diagonal expansion only. Cannot block. Lose it = game over.

Rotate smart: A single rotation can convert defense into attack or vice‑versa.
Starting a Game
- Open the lobby: create or join a table.
- White places Kadip in the top left corner.
- Black mirrors: places Kadip in the bottom right corner.
- White moves first. Expansion phase begins.
Example: Both Kadips Placed
Green zones show where each player can place their next dip.
Only 3 Placement Rules
Empty Squares Only
Never stack. If a square is occupied, you can't place there.
Must Be One of Your Green Zones
You may place only on green expansion zones created by your own earlier dips.
Avoid Opponent Red Zones
You cannot place on any square inside an opponent's red block zone.
💡Example 1: Legal Placements for White
Blue rectangles show valid placement zones. Notice how black's rodip blocks one expansion zone.
Attack
How To Attack you opponent and gain territory
Place a dip → opponent dips placed in its red block zones immediately fall (removed).
Example: Whites Turn
White has expansion zone at yellow marker from Adip.
Example: White Places Rodip and Attacks Black
White plays Rodip South @(4,4). Notice how white's Rodip threatens black's Tsidip.
Example: White Attacks Black
Black removes dip from board as Tsidip falls, and it is returned to the pool to be reused.
Cascade Attacks
Hinguere signature mechanic: One dip placement can cause half opponents dips to fall.
How It Starts
Place a dip → opponent dips placed in its red block zones immediately fall (removed).
Then the cascade chain fires...
Chain Reaction Steps
Your dip causes adjacent red-zone opponent dips to fall.
Each fallen dip also causes opponent dips placed in its green expansion zones to fall.
Repeat until no more dips qualify. Resolve fully before next turn.
Example: Cascade Setup
White's Mudip and Kadip are linked with two-way cascade. Both are in danger to fall!
Black's dips are safer with one way from Kadip → Tsidip → Adip
Guard the Kadip.
Long linked chains = easy cascade path to your Kadip.
Strategic Angles
Offense
- Identify support hubs.
- Rotate for maximum red overlap.
- Engineer Kadip exposure.
Defense
- Break long chains.
- Create safe spacing shells.
- Decouple Kadip from clusters.
How You Win
Kadip Falls
Cause their Kadip to fall via cascade → instant victory.
No Move
Their turn with zero legal placements → you win.
Time Out
Clock hits zero in timed format → game over.
No repetition: You cannot recreate an identical full board position.
Quick Improvement Tips
🛡️ Protect Kadip
Keep it away from dense chains that could cascade inward.
🌱 Build First
Early turns: maximize green coverage before hunting attacks.
⚠️ Scan Cascades
Mentally simulate: “If I place here, what chain could fire?”
🎯 Center Control
Middle = reach + rotation flexibility. Claim it early.
🔄 Rotate Dips
Test orientations: one twist can open a win line.
📍 Plan Two Moves
Think: “What green squares will I unlock next turn?”
